The event was held on 31 May in San Telmo Museum in Donostia/San Sebastián, with a high level of participation, and yet again, it offered a space for collaboration on the challenges facing the cultural and creative sectors.
The KSIgune Connections gathering seeks to generate a network and encourage the creation of cooperation projects between the academic community (students, teaching and research staff, management) and the sectors and profiles integrated in the Cultural and Creative Industries (directing, facilitation, management, creation, production, etc.) in the Basque Country. To do so, the event consisted of three parts:
The introduction to the KSIgune cluster and ecosystem was led by the Basque Government Departments promoting the cluster, and Euskampus Fundazioa, the entity in charge of its operations. The institutional opening included the participation of: Miren Artaraz, Director of University Policy and Coordination, and Aitziber Atorrasagasti, Director of Culture Promotion in the Basque Government; Igor Campillo, Director, and Ruth Mayoral, Head of Higher Education Programmes, at Euskampus Fundazioa.

This was followed by the presentation of the fourth edition of the call for grants for Higher Education and CCI cooperation projects, KSIgune Connections, which framed the event, and the round table with three projects funded in the previous edition:
SEGABER (SERIOUS GAME BERRIKUNTZARAKO)
Research project in the video games sector, led by IKASPLAY, S.L. and the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon University, and presented by Irune Gomez.
DANTZA, ADINA ETA ONGIZATEA
Subject project in the performing arts sector, led by DOOS Colectivo and EUNEIZ, and presented by Eva Guerrero.
ITZULPEN AUTOMATIKOAN GENERO-ALBORAPENAK SAIHESTERA BIDERATUTAKO HIZKERARI BURUZKO IKERKETA
Research project in the Language Industries sector, led by Elhuyar Fundazioa and the Faculty of Arts at the UPV/EHU, and presented by Klara Ceberio and Elizabete Manterola.
To round off the event, the networking session facilitated by Euskampus Fundazioa enabled stakeholders to network and exchange ideas to identify the challenges currently facing the cultural and creative industries, such as: fostering increased collaboration between cultural and creative disciplines and other areas of knowledge; working on the positioning of Culture and Creativity and its role in social transformation; driving people-centred design in multiple fields; and integrating new technological solutions for cultural activity, among others.
