The international collaboration programme for students, DC Living Lab, celebrated its sixth edition within the framework of the Creativity World Forum 2024, in the area of Education in CCIs.

This edition has been coordinated by the educational cooperative Travelling U, in collaboration with KSgune, the Basque Cluster for Higher Education & Research for CCIs.

  • PARTICIPATION

A total of 32 international students from the different Districts of Creativity collaborated to address the challenges within the Cultural and Creative Industries that were proposed by Basque entitites.

1./ REIMAGINE URBAN SPACE: COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE MODELS 
How could we activate, manage and coordinate an empty public space on the first floor that would allow us to expand beyond housing to domestic, leisure and social activities?

2./ FUTURE RIDES: EXPLORING TOMORROW'S VEHICLE INTERIOR
How can new technologies change the way people will interact with vehicles in the future and create new services, functionalities and business opportunities as the mobility sector becomes smarter, connected and automated?

3./ SUSTAINABLE SOUNDSCAPES: BUILDING AN AUTHENTIC CONNECTION WITH MILLENNIALS AND GEN Z THROUGH SUSTAINABILITY 
How can BBK Live music festival genuinely connect with Millennials and Generation Z by improving and expanding its positive impact on sustainability? What are the best ways to do it?

4./ THE FUTURE OF FASHION EDUCATION: CAN WE CREATE CUTTING-EDGE BIOMATERIALS FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY USING VIRTUAL TOOLS AND RESOURCES FROM NEARBY BUSINESSES?
What strategies can be used to actively involve students in practical waste transformation projects from local industries, offering practical experience in sustainable materials innovation and, at the same time, equipping them with the virtual skills necessary to actively contribute to the ongoing transformation of the fashion industry towards sustainability?
