Description
Invisible Beauty is a series of psychostimulation-cognitive workshops aimed at people with Alzheimer's who have as their ultimate goal to stimulate the physical, musical and emotional abilities of people with Alzheimer's through dance and music.
The project presented for this call will be carried out during the course 2021/22 in collaboration between the students of Musikene-Music Centre of the Basque Country , the dance company AI DO PROJECT and AFIGI, Association of Families, Friends and people with Alzheimer's or other dementias of Gipuzkoa.
The applicant entities have already made various collaborations in previous editions and through this new call, it is hoped to consolidate and continue to deepen the development of this socio-cultural-educational project.
The Invisible Beauty workshops have a structure that combines the live display of music and dance pieces and the realisation of motion sequences and physical exercises related to some of the objects integrated in the choreographies shown, such as, vessels, balls, sticks, percussion instruments, wood/cork blocks, cushions, strings, etc.
The project will be developed in three phases:
- A first presentation of the initiative to students.
- The process of designing the meetings.
- The realisation of two meetings with people with Alzheimer's disease.
