The projects selected for the 2023/24 academic year seek to contribute to the CCIs of the Basque Country through collaboration between 12 educational centres and 16 entities from sectors such as fashion, crafts, performing arts, design, architecture, visual arts, contemporary dance, video games, multimedia, music, cultural heritage, gastronomy and language industries.
KSIgune Connections is the programme led by the KSIgune Cluster of Higher Education and Research for the Cultural and Creative Industries of the Basque Country, headed by the Department of Culture and Language Policy and the Department of Education of the Basque Government, with the support of Euskampus Fundazioa as the entity commissioned by both Departments to coordinate the cluster.
With the aim of supporting collaboration between Higher Education and cultural and creative entities in the Basque Country, the programme, through the 3rd edition of the call for grants, has selected 20 projects based on knowledge transfer that will contribute to responding to both sectoral challenges and global challenges related to the demographic, ecological and digital transitions from a territorial approach.
Furthermore, in addition to contributing to responding to the triple transition in the Basque Country, several of the projects are focused on the areas of healthy ageing and circular economy, which are among the Transversal Tractor Initiatives of the Basque Country Science, Technology and Innovation Plan 2030 (PCTI 2030).
